It’s time for the annual LA Sport 4x4 Show again, and this year’s event, on 23 and 24 May in Capital Park, Pretoria, promises to be more exciting than ever before. In addition to plenty of off-roading action on the in-house 4x4 trail, there will be plenty of music to create a suitably festive mood, while exhibitors will show anything from bakkie canopies, trailers, caravans and tents to exotic locations for you to visit with your freshly kitted-out off-roader.

You can start the day by watching the proceedings on the 4x4 track, where the latest in off-road technology will be showcased on LA Sport’s demonstration vehicles. Friendly experts will be on hand to explain new developments, and answer questions regarding off-road driving techniques or hardware.

Of course, a 4x4 show wouldn’t be complete without showing off the latest accessories and trends in the off-road market. Here the 2015 LA Sport 4x4 Show will live up to its promise: In addition to viewing the latest proprietary off-road accessories  from LA Sport, many external suppliers will also display their gadgets. Look forward to displays from big names such as Echo 4x4 (off-road caravans), Fiamma (camping accessories) and Abba Campers. Autowiel will also be there to show off their latest tyres and rims, and advise you on proper wheel alignment and tyre choices.

If you’re considering a new 4x4, there will be many new off-roaders on display, with vehicles from Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen, Jeep, Suzuki, Ford and Foton ready and waiting to impress you (and hopefully lighten your bank account). Once you have the off-roader of your dreams, and have kitted it out with all the accessories your heart could desire, there will be numerous stalls to entice you to visit places interesting destinations. While you’re at the resort or camping terrain, try your hand at archery, with the equipment you got from Gun & Bow: Whatever tickles your fancy can be found at this year’s LA Sport 4x4 Show.

When you’re done admiring the shiny displays, there’s always time to kick back and relax with a wine-tasting session at the Tulbagh Wine stand, or immerse yourself in music from a wide variety of local artists. The star-studded line-up includes Pieter Koen, the ever-popular Dozi, and Marula Boom and Piet Pompies for the younger set, so bring your dancing shoes.

If you’re anywhere near Pretoria on 23 and 24 May, be sure to pay the LA Sport 4x4 Show a visit at 385 Steve Biko Street, Capital Park.
